Desert Biome in California, U.S.A.

The desert has very little rainfall, less than 0.79 inches (2 centimeters) per year. It supports little life. The life that is present in the desert has adapted to conserve water. The plants have tough, waxy coatings, such as the cacti, with thick leaves to store water.
