Mistura Gastronomic Fair

My first ever traditional food from Latin America in 1998. It made me feel choked up in the tearful way 
(Not only it was my first time eating Latino meal locally, it was simply... Picante!)


The International Gastronomic Fair Mistura 2012 is set to take place in Lima from September 7 to 16



The 17th-century twin-tower neoclassical Basilica Cathedral, which houses a museum displaying religious objects and artwork. Arequipa is, framed by 3 volcanoes, the colonial-era capital of Peru’s Arequipa Region. It's filled with baroque buildings constructed from sillar, a white volcanic stone, hence a.k.a. “White City”


The event is the year's largest showcase for Peruvian cuisine, representing regional dishes from across the country.




Cusco is a Unesco World Heritage Site and is one of Peru's most visited cities as it is the largest and most comfortable city from which tourists can begin visits to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and other Inca sites in the region




Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central part of the country, on a desert coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean


Lima's taste buds go into ecstatic overdrive as top national and international chefs dish up quality Peruvian cuisine at the annual Mistura Gastronomic Fair in Exposition Park.




UruBamba (Quechua: Urupampa which means "Flat land of Spiders") is a small town in Peru, located near the Urubamba River under the snow-capped mountain of Chicón



Colca Canyon, of an Andean Valley with pre-Inca roots, which is a canyon, best known for its one of the deepest (3,270 meters or 10,730 ft) in the world, of the Colca River in southern Peru
