Malaysia Grand Tour 1/2
That was my third time visited Malaysia but was actually the first time for work.
The purpose was to photograph the soon-to-be-released brand new model for the Swedish car. Market tended to the entire Asia (including the South Pacific Region).

這是我的第三次造訪 馬來西亞 但卻是第一次為了工作前來
目的是為瑞典籍的車商拍攝全亞洲 (包括南太平洋、東北亞在內) 最新車款首發表的照片
How about Singapore? You might ask curiously. Of course, between 1988 and 1991/1992 I paid numerous trips to Singapore already.
I like cars very much, when the car dealer initiatively contacted me inquiring my working schedule, as well as, the possibility for me to fly down to Singapore and Malaya to shoot on locations. My mood almost jumped to the ceiling without second thought in the lunch meeting, reached a deal immediately. Although not knowing the photography project details, not knowing why need to shoot in 2 countries in one breath*.
First evening in Singapore upon arrival, the Advertisement Public Relation Firm for the Swedish Car Asia Headquarter held a large-scale cocktail party in the hotel to cordially welcome us. “Us” including representatives from Hong Kong, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia… and so on. I was the one also arriving at the party only then to know “Our” lineup was so big.
First evening tried so hard to roughly remember all my “Merging” partners. Next day flew to Kuala Lumpur.
*The car company's Asia Headquarter locates in Singapore. That is why we would have to go there assembling. But Singapore lacks of wide open fields for the shooting. So we went to Malaysia for it.
新加坡篇 1991/1992
新加坡呢 去幾趟？ 你或許好奇地想知道 當然囉 在1988年和1991/1992年之間 我早已經去過新加坡旅行許多次了
我很喜歡車 當車商主動和我連絡 詢問我的工作檔期以及是否願意飛到星馬出外景時 雀躍的心情真是無法形容 二話不說 餐會後馬上定案 雖然還搞不清楚拍攝內容 也不知道為什麼一口氣要到兩個國家拍攝*
抵達新加坡的第一個傍晚 由瑞典籍車商的代理廣告公關公司 在飯店裡舉辦大型雞尾酒會款待我們 “我們” 包含了香港 泰國 南韓 日本 臺灣 新加坡 馬來西亞 紐西蘭 澳洲... 等泛太平洋國家的代表 我也是到達當天晚會才知道 “我～們～” 的陣容這麼龐大堅強
第一個晚上 粗略地 辛苦地認識了所有 “併團” 的夥伴 隔天飛吉隆坡
*到新加坡集合 是因為車商的亞洲總部在此 到馬來西亞外拍 是因為新加坡沒那麼大的腹地
