Tongans Accused of 'Drinking the Bar Dry'

Air New Zealand has been forced to apologize for a crew manual which suggested that Tongan passengers may "drink the bar dry".

The document caused a stir by making generalizations about different nationalities, also stating that Korean passengers will expect good manners, Thai expect a souvenir and Samoans will appreciate a rug.

Air New Zealand spokesman Alan Gaskin said the manual was not meant to cause offense.
