Always double check the UPC or SKU numbers on your jars of peanut butter and/or other nut-and-seed products!

A full list of the recalled products

Not every container of the products in the list above or the much longer lists available from the FDA and from Sunland is affected. It depends on the batch, as shown by the UPC or SKU (a stock-keeping unit or SKU is a number or code used to identify each unique product or item for sale in a store or other business) numbers. Those numbers can be found on the recall lists and on product containers.

Update news on October 12: Peanut butter recalls spread to ice cream products
Ice cream and granola bars are the latest products to be linked to widespread manufacturer recalls of some peanut butters and other nut products that started last month.
Some of those brands announced on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's website have included Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert, made by Bliss Unlimited LLC; Smith's Peanut Butter Crunch, Acme Peanut Butter Twist and Ruggles Peanut Butter Crunch and Peanut Butter Crunch Brownie ice creams, made by Smith Dairy Products Co.; and Clemmy's Ice Cream's Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip.
Others were Belfonte Ice Cream and Dairy Foods Co., which recalled its Home Run Sundae and Mama's Choice Reverse Peanut Butter Pie flavors, and BGC Manufacturing's Goldenbrook Farms Peanut Butter Bash Ice Cream.
Of those brands, only Luna & Larry's and Clemmy's were distributed nationwide. Others were sold in states other than Maryland.

The Food and Drug Administration today shut down the country's largest organic peanut butter processor following a salmonella outbreak that sickened scores of people nationwide.
For the first time the FDA has utilized new power granted by the 2011 food safety law and shut down Sunland Inc.'s New Mexico processing plant.
In a statement on their website, the FDA said that the link between the company and the salmonella outbreak that sickened 41 people in 20 states.
