去る者は追わず、来る者は拒まず。
In real life, people often can't shake loose someone that you loathe and unable to hold someone doesn't want to stay.
Hence, one of my innate mottos, also a Japanese phrase aforementioned, has come into play:
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes.
I am unfailingly investing/following my love/passion and keeping open house (and mind, and arms, too) in the hope of attracting interesting like-minded people — albeit I am a shy person AND my personal goal's wings had been clipped purposefully by focusing on my own career pursuits until 2009 — instead of turning to bygones!
You might think that I omitted other relationships. I would say my innate moto is already covering all kinds of connections. People involved be it partners, lovers or..., they have to be best friends! Friends who are true friends won't have a problem with it.
